Handbook of the Mammals of the World

The Handbook of the Mammals of the World endeavours to become an unprecedented reference work for the Class Mammalia. Once the series is complete there will be eight volumes in total, which together describe every currently recognised mammal species, with each chapter of each volume being dedicated to a particular family. An illustration of each mammal is provided, along with information on the natural history, systematic relationships, ecology and the current conservation status.
